Hi students, I'm Robert and extremely excited to be your teacher! A little about myself: I'm an ABC, that is an American Born Chinese, originally from California and just returned from Asia where I spend the past decade. My career has always been in the tech industry, but I have a deep passion for education. I would love to combine all of these experiences by being your teacher! As for my teaching credentials, I have had extensive experience with private tutoring for students of all ages. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science as well as a MBA so I could provide career guidance in addition to tutoring. Finally, I have taken almost every major exam before such as PSAT, SAT, SAT 2, GRE, GMAT. I invested significant time and effort to achieve high marks on all of these and can cover your needs in standardized tests and school applications. I have several years tutoring experience in private homes both in the US and abroad. I worked directly with any students who needed additional assistance, but also had a small focus group of students in each of my classes. These were the students who needed the most extra help, so I worked with them during class to make sure they didn’t fall behind. Additionally, I held tutoring sessions everyday after school where students could come for any homework help. In this setting I tutored not only STEM subjects such as Math and Science, but also language arts such as English and Chinese. I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide.
